Focus In On the Creative Process With Stacy Scherf

Every artist has a challenge in their search for creating new art. Stacy thinks that her biggest challenge when it comes to creating art is allowing yourself to be disciplined. Often times an artist will come up with so many ideas that they do not know where to begin so staying focused is something that we can all agree on.

Blogging seems to be the way to go these days and a couple of years ago Stacy needed an outlet for her creativity so she established oliveloafdesign, “I created the OliveLoaf Design blog as a placeholder for a more extensive website to post my creations & have an online storefront”. Even thought Ms. Scherf started her blog only two years ago she has quite the following with 400-500 views per day!  Which is very exciting for someone who  set up a blog to keep an eye on all the lovely creations in the world.  One of the great joys of writing her blog is receiving compliments from readers or those who say they have inspired her because of a post.

Stacy has been pretty crafty most of her life and she finds great enjoyment in making works of art for others.  She really loves making her art for her Etsy page. Also she typically finds that her favorite pieces of art are the ones she makes for her friends.”I really love the first papier mache project I made for a friend.  They are figures of him and his partner & dog….I’ve always wanted to redo them as I’ve improved over the  years – but he won’t let me”.

FonduTV.com loves OliveLoafDesign and we have favorites of our own that we believe are worth noting.  She has a way with color in everything that she finds and creates.  For example we just love “Frenchie” below for the amount of color and the sensory delight that this figure brings to any day.

Next week we will take you inside the home of Stacy Scherf for our in depth interview of her many faces of arts and entertainment. If you haven’t checked out her Etsy page it would be something fun for you to do. Be sure to check back here next week for our final look at this talented artist.

*Each month FonduTV.com features an artist whom they feel is making great strides in the world of arts & entertainment.   Know an inspiring artist who we might love? Send us an email  to minion@fondutv.com and we might just feature them on our site!
