This Week in Chicago Entertainment History ~ John C. Reilly

We look today at an actor that we’ve all come to love over the years. Or perhaps the love is not there but you still respect his bodies of work.  John C. Reilly was born in this city we like to call Chicago in 1965 on the the southside of Chicago.  He graduated from DePaul University and he eventually trained at the Goodman School of Drama.  He started playing with the big kids when he became a member of “The Wolf”, SteppenWOLF that is.

He got his start in “Casualties of War” in 1989 and became a muse of Paul Thomas Anderson with “Boogie Nights”. He has gone on to make numerous films and even received an Oscar nomination for “Chicago” in 2002.  Below we see him talk about working on “Boogie Nights”. Thanks John C. Reilly for making Chicago proud to have birthed you!
